Job Summary and Mission

This job contributes to Starbucks success of the Roastery & Reserve Store by assisting the store managers, associate managers, and/or specialists in executing store operations and functions during scheduled shifts. Operations leads are committed to operational excellence through the delivery of high-quality products and service, working cohesively with the greater team to ensure delivery the Roastery & Reserve Experience. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge that promote the culture, values and mission of Starbucks

Maintains a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events to keep store operating to standard and to set a positive example for the team

Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues. Communicates information to manager so that the team can respond as necessary to create the Roastery & Reserve experience during each shift

Assists with new partner training

Contributes to positive team environment

Delivers legendary service to all customers  

Develops positive working relationships with shift team

Executes operational assignments during scheduled shifts.  Leverages functional systems consistently to support delivery of Roastery & Reserve Experience

Follows Roastery & Reserve operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, safety and security

Manages service of alcohol according to all state and federal laws and regulations, as well as company and brand and policies and standards 

Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality 

Storytelling and communication of the Roastery & Reserve brand, food and culture

We would love to here from people with:

Customer service experience in retail and/or restaurant environment

Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays

Ability to carry 35lb on a consistent basis

Identify, train, and model adherence to health and safety standards at all times

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.  For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.

The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.  At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
