In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day transportation operations, building strong relationships with customers, team members, and vendors, and driving continuous improvement and creative solutions in logistics processes. What the Job Entails:Create and maintain strong customer, team, and vendor relationships.Manage day-to-day transportation operations, including load building, tracking, scheduling shipments, issue resolution, and identifying continuous improvement opportunities.Ensure all required shipping documentation is prepared accurately and on time.Maintain effective and professional communication internally and externally within a timely manner.Work alongside the manager to develop the team and implement best practices.Serve as an escalation point for team members and help coach problem-solving techniques.Become an expert on spot quoting opportunities.Provide continuous improvements and creative solutions to operational challenges.Support sales teams with customer presentations.Create and maintain customer reporting and KPI analytics.Assist with cost negotiation on shipments.Collaborate with both carrier and sales teams to ensure smooth operations.Continue to follow standard operating procedures and ensure compliance.What We Are Looking For:3+ years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry, preferably with a leadership background.High School Diploma/GED required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Customer-facing LTL experience is required, including an understanding of tariffs, density, and CSP.Experience with Food/Bev, Retail, or CPG industries; prior experience with startups is a plus.Knowledge of multi-stop truckload planning and operations is preferred.Carrier knowledge, including routing guide/lane development and sell consolidation efforts, is an asset.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented and multi-tasking mindset.Professional phone and email communication skills.Outgoing personality, high energy, and flexibility.Great attitude, team player mentality, and desire to work hard.Demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to coach and mentor operations representatives.What We Offer:Robust industry training and mentorship.Career development and advancement opportunities.Casual dress code.Full benefit options, including Medical (Dental & Vision).Life/AD&D Insurance and Long-Term Disability.401(k) matching.A dynamic environment with a supportive and “can-do” culture.This is a full-time, permanent position from Monday to Friday.
