Aon Is Looking for a Health Solutions Operations/PMO Leader to support our Connect Benefits Solutions (CBS) -BenAdmin Consulting Practice
As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions to clients of Aon’s Connected Benefits Solutions within our Health Solutions consulting practice. As the CBS Operations/PMO Leader, you will report directly to the U.S. Leader for CBS.
The CBS Operations/PMO Leader role oversees and manages the benefits administration team made up of consultants, solution technicians and client managers responsible for client delivery within this practice supporting growth of the CBS offering for employers with 500 to 8,000 enrolled employees. The role involves relationship and contractual management of the CBS panel partnerships, oversight of the book of business financial management metrics and acting as the PMO lead within client delivery team to ensure success with implementations and ongoing client management success.
Your Impact as an CBS Operations/PMO Leader
The Connected Benefits Solution is Aon’s approach to supporting our clients and prospects, with Benefits Administration Consulting insights in conjunction with the development of their benefit strategies. The typical client size is employers with 1,000 to 8,000 employees. CBS team supports the overall discovery conversations with prospects and existing Health clients to identify their needs, complexities and desired services through our Search and Selection process to support selection of a new benefits administrator to meet their needs. This position will work closely with panel partners and CBS team members to help support new business opportunities and existing clients.
This position will have regularly scheduled interactions with CBS Panel partners supporting the BOB reviews and business metrics. In addition, the role will offer support to CBS team members on client escalations where leadership needs to provide oversight or insight to support resolution. Responsibilities include managing panel partner relationships, quarterly business metrics accountability, overseeing book of business processes aligned to accounting, financials, and the client experience to support client retention.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the CBS business : This may include tasks such as scheduling and assigning work to team members, monitoring progress, team coaching and feedback, and ensuring that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
+ Developing and implementing processes and procedures : Operations leads may be responsible for developing and implementing processes and procedures that are designed to improve efficiency and productivity. This may include managing Financial Reporting (Annual Budget projections, Financial Team interactions to review monthly P&L) and Contracting, Renewals and Change Order processes.
+ Managing budgets and vendor invoicing process : Operations leads may be responsible for managing budgets and other resources, such as personnel, vendor expenses, and invoicing process, in order to ensure that the business is operating effectively and efficiently.
+ Analyzing data and metrics : Operations leads may be responsible for analyzing data, business trends and metrics in order to identify trends and areas for improvement.
+ Providing leadership and direction : Operations leads are often responsible for providing leadership and direction to team members, including providing guidance and support vendor escalations, setting goals and expectations. This may include providing leadership with insights to improve implementation and ongoing client delivery needs, manage panel partner quarterly business reviews of their business metrics and future roadmap – reporting findings to broader business stakeholders and AE community with CBS clients.
+ Resolving problems and issues : Operations leads may be responsible for identifying and resolving problems and issues that arise during the course of the day-to-day operations.
+ Maintenance and management of master client list with all services offered to clients via CBS; outlining both wholesale and reseller expenses so expense management knowledge and new business/renewal process is managed.
+ Vendor oversight and advisory support to continue to elevate key deliverables and services our clients value. This may include participation in Vendor Advisory summits and meetings throughout the year.
Required Experience:
+ Team management experience and team building skills.
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in Benefits Administration consulting/client management
+ Client facing experience at a consulting company, benefits administration technology company or HCM/HRIS/Payroll company
+ Excellent communications skills (written and verbal).
+ Strong organizational and project management skills; and strong analytical ability. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Working knowledge of benefits and services offered and value to clients.
+ Strong face to face presentation skills.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
+ Exhibit thought leadership--understand and be able to articulate ideas to clients
Education:
+ Bachelor’s degree in relevant field; Work History may allow this to be a non-requirement.
+ License or Certificate Requirements: appropriate Insurance License/Life and Health; Not required but desired.

Pay Transparency Laws:
The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $165k-$200k annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location. The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of State/Region. The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive [an annual discretionary bonus] in addition to base salary. The amount of any [bonus] varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
