We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Operations Manager, Cheque Processing.

Principal Responsibilities

Supervise and support Domestic Cheque and International Cheque processing to ensure service quality and smooth operationManage Hong Kong Cheque team and monitor the performance of offshore Cheque teamInvestigate, escalate to management and apply remedies for operation issues and incidents in a timely mannerProvides accurate monthly reports and management reporting in a timely manner and analyzes the reports to spot out underperforming areasSupports the management and mitigation of operational risk by identification, assessment, mitigation and control of operational risk of cheque processesRaises the awareness and alertness of financial crime activities relating to cheques and reduces the potential fraud lossSupports the planning and execution of business continuity and contingency plans and performs regular contingency drill exercises in accordance with HSBC and regulatory requirementsEnsures the operation is compliant to HSBC risk policies and procedure, regulatory standard and audit requirement and fulfills all control requirement via continuous review of working proceduresIdentify and drive streamlining initiatives / projects from planning to implementation for Cheque OperationsContributes to operational efficiency, productivity improvement and customer experience and manages the ad-hoc process changes as requiredCommunicate and perform governance with various service providers
