Provide operational leadership by developing, motivating, and coaching operational associates; provide day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors the core values of the organization. Accountable for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); inclusive of gross margin, on-time pick-up, on-time delivery, order to cash processes, carrier capacity and growth. Support the broader enterprise goals especially across the supply-chain for US Foods.
This position is hybrid which means the work is onsite at our Rosemont Office two days per week as well as remotely from your home office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage regional operations for an efficient and effective brokerage team. Ensure the team is meeting or exceeding our service KPI’s, manage load exceptions and escalations.
• Coach, motivate and lead a team of carrier sales associates. Be a player coach in leveraging Gampac Transportation Management Systems and ensure adherence to best practice processes to deliver consistent key results and leading by example.
• Accountable for all shipments in region are booked for the day or proactively communicated to the account managers of service failures.
• Cultivate the CR’s within the region through regular 1:1’s, coaching and leading by example.
• Maintain/Manage higher volume lanes ensuring profitability on those lanes.
• Collaborate with key carriers to help them grow their business with Gampac and maximize their potential offerings.
• Ensure we are following company requirements and onboarding acceptable carriers who can safely deliver our freight.
• Deploy RFP’s to carriers, analyze responses, negotiate in the carrier selection process
• Develop and maintain an adequate staffing to support both current and future growth needs, factoring in associate productivity and capability evolution.
• Work closely with the Director of Gampac Logistics to ensure EBITDA goals and operational objectives are met in safety, service, and cost.
• Collaborate with sales to support customer requirements. Work closely with strategic carrier leadership to ensure systems and data are aligned and accurate to deliver operational results.

SUPERVISION:
• Oversee a team of 5 – 8 Operations Associates within an assigned market region.

• Internal: Gampac team and leadership, Transportation and Logistics leaders USF External: Carriers, Third-party partners and vendors
WORK ENVIRONMENT
• This role requires work to be in-person at the assigned office location as needed, with flexibility to work virtually when possible.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• 3 plus years of relevant work experience is required in brokerage, transportation, logistics or other similar supply chain functions.
• Requires strong leadership skills, change management and negotiation skills; lead a team and partner with stakeholders to deliver consistent key results.
• Strong experience with carriers and relationship management across the transportation industry
• Ability to perform root cause analysis, develop and implement corrective action plans to improve carrier performance or employee performance.
• Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead in an extremely fast-paced environment.
• Excellent people management and interpersonal skills; must be a team player
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and negotiating skills
• Experience working in a TMS with ability to coach others in high day to day use of technology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prefer experience specifically in food logistics and transportation.
EDUCATION
• Bachelor’s degree required preferably in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business, or related analytical fields;
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $77,100 - $122,400.
This role will also receive annual incentive plan bonus.
