Operations Manager

MV Transportation is seeking an Operations Manager to provide support, leadership, and direction to assigned operating locations, ensuring the delivery of annual business plans. The Operations Manager will work closely with division GM to oversee the daily operations of our transportation contract, ensuring compliance with the contracting agency's policies and company procedures. The Operations Manager is primarily responsible for, but not limited to:

Effectively manage on-time performance and driver availability daily.Effectively manage the day-to-day operations of the division, including fleet management, route planning, including driver and staff scheduling.Effectively manage all call center staff and functions daily.Effectively working with the division General Manager (GM) to manage customer relations through both direct contact and outreach programs.Participate with GM in Client relations including meetings with city and county transportation board membersParticipate with GM in all MVT financials proceedures pertaining to all aspects within the division including payroll knowledge.Identify, select, train and mentor location staff.Effectively and frequently communicate with location staff and support team members.Assist and work with Safety Manager in overseeing safety and training programs, plans and processes to ensure compliance with company, contract and regulatory requirements, including successful CHP Audits.Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations, including DOT regulations and safety standardsIdentify and mitigate transportation-related risks, such as accidents, delays, and vehicle damage.Contributes to maintain the safety culture of the division.Maintain client contact routinely to meet or exceed expectations.Assist with GM with conducting periodic departmental audits.Daily, weekly and monthly review of key operational metrics.Implement, promote and adhere to company policies and procedures along with GM.Participates with GM in location labor and employee relations activities.

Talent Requirements:

Must have one (1) to three (3) years of management experience in a similar sized paratransit environment.The ideal candidate would have experience in scheduling and personnel management and training.Must be able to work independently and have strong written and verbal skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Knowledge of client contractual obligations is a must to perform this job correctly.Knowledge of the CBA obligations is a must.Knowledge of company policy assures that the field operator is using consistent measures to assess a drivers’ activity.Strong understanding of transportation regulations, including DOT regulations.Spare experience preferred.Experience managing fast paced environment.

Starting salary range: $30 - $36.90/hour
