POSITION OVERVIEW:

MRI Software is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to lead a team of approximately 14 back-office professionals providing shared services to the EMEA Professional Services department.  The role requires strong leadership, operational management, and coordination to ensure the delivery of high-quality services in operations, project coordination, and PMO services. The successful candidate will report directly to the Director of Professional Services in South Africa, with a dotted line to the Operations Director in EMEA, and will play a key role in building a high-performing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team leadership and people management, focusing on fostering a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellenceOversee the hiring, training, ongoing development, and performance management of team membersInspire and ensure the team delivers operational, project coordination, and PMO services at the highest standard and to meet organisational objectivesContinuously monitor performance metrics and processes to identify areas for improvement, efficiency gain and suggest corrective actions where necessaryDrive commonality of approach and service delivery across the EMEA region, ensuring alignment with global strategiesAct as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders within the EMEA Professional Services department, ensuring expectations are managed, and issues are resolved in a timely mannerProvide regular updates to senior leadership on team performance, key challenges, and opportunitiesCollaborate closely with the Operations Director for EMEA to shape, develop, and support the scaling of services and operational models as the needs of the business evolve

REQUIREMENTS: 

5+ year experience in operations, project management, or shared services roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or team management capacityStrong understanding of back-office operations, project coordination, and PMO servicesProven experience in motivating and leading diverse teams, fostering high-performance cultures, and delivering operational excellenceAbility to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and maintain a client-centric focusExcellent communication, documentation, organisational, presentation and problem-solving skillsFamiliarity with resource management, with a focus on process optimisation, improvement, and efficiencyExperience working in a global or multi-regional environment is a plus
