Operations Manager

We are looking for an Operations Manager (m/w/d) within our Final Control Group (Pressure Management), to be based in Bologna, Italy (#LI-Onsite) and oversee the daily operations of the manufacturing plant, concentrating on achieving strategic objectives related to sales, profitability, inventory, and service levels. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, including Supply Chain, Quality, Human Resources, and HSE. The Operations Manager will play a key role in driving technological innovation, continuous improvement, process efficiency, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Planning and overseeing all operational activities to ensure production and revenue targets are met while optimizing processes and developing staff. Collaborating with senior management on long-term operational strategies and managing the investment budget for improvements. Analyzing production performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and enhancing customer On-Time Delivery. Mentoring the operational team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety, while collaborating with HR to attract and retain talent. Ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations and promoting a safety-first culture across operations.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment. Proven expertise in strategic planning, people management, and lean manufacturing methodologies. Strong knowledge of lean and Six Sigma principles, with a successful track record of implementation. A demonstrated ability to manage budgets and drive operational efficiency. Proficiency in English, with preference for Italian, French and Romanian language skills

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

Background in an industrial automation environment with similar products (gas regulators and analyzers). Experience within matrix organization.
