Founded in 1954, The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter is a premier human services agency in the healthcare field. Our agency was started by parents who envisioned a rich, full life for their children with disabilities, inclusive of their community. Many of those families still champion these efforts today. The Arc, Oneida-Lewis is one of thirty-six chapters of The Arc New York statewide organization. We employ 700 staff and support over 1,400 people throughout Oneida and Lewis Counties. We provide a full spectrum of educational, vocational, employment, residential, family support, guardianship, respite, recreational, and day habilitation for people with developmental disabilities and their families. Are you the Operations Manager we're looking for?
To excel as an Operations Manager at The Arc, Oneida-Lewis Chapter, you'll need a blend of strong leadership skills and proven operational expertise. Essential capabilities include the ability to supervise staff effectively, including temporary positions during peak production times, ensuring that production expectations are set and met with individual accountability. Proficiency in developing and communicating production schedules based on customer activity is paramount, as is the ability to maintain financial stability through careful cost monitoring and quality control measures. A successful candidate will also have a knack for identifying opportunities for operational enhancements and delivering superior customer service by fostering strong relationships. Experience in shipping and receiving logistics, along with maintaining essential documentation such as time study sheets and job analyses, will round out your skill set.
An Associate's Degree with five years of manufacturing experience or a High School Diploma with two years of middle management experience will set you up for success in this role!
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
+ Responsibilities:
+ Supervise all staff and additional temporary positions at times of increased production in the location. Set production expectations and ensure individual accountability.
+ Develop the production schedule based on customer activity. Communicate plans with co-workers and implement the production schedule with a staffing plan.
+ Maintain the financial stability of the business operation by monitoring costs
+ scheduling
+ staffing
+ quality controls
+ and output.
+ Identify opportunities for operational enhancements of the location.
+ Provide superior customer service by maintaining relationships with customers
+ responding efficiently and efficiently
+ and facilitating an environment conducive to customer growth.
+ Oversees all shipping and receiving for the location. Work with customers and co-workers to schedule appropriate timing for both shipping and receiving. Load and unload trucks when needed.
+ Maintain appropriate documentation for jobs completed in location. (i.e.
+ time study sheets
+ job analysis
+ SDS.)
+ Qualifications:
+ Associate's Degree and five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing and warehousing facility. or
+ High School Diploma and Two (2) plus years of demonstrated experience in middle management.
