Annual Wage Range: $123,200.00  - $169,400.00 
Other Compensation:  Eligibility for the Short-Term Incentive program and other applicable bonuses

Job Description

 

Grace is seeking an Operations Manager for our Tyrone, PA Site.  The Operations Manager, will be accountable for the effectiveness and financial performance of the manufacturing areas and be a member of our Leadership team while reporting to the Plant Manager. The Operations Manager will also be the leader of 4 production crews and other site personnel to meet safety, quality, and production goals at the site. The schedule will be M-F, 40 hour work weeks with overtime coverage if needed. This is a 24/7 operation. 

 

The Tyrone Site produces a portfolio of products that impact many industries, including crops and agricultural, pharmaceutical, automotive, polymer, and others.  Consisting of three multifunctional commercial manufacturing areas, a pilot plant and process support and development labs, the site is fully equipped to develop and manufacture custom products across the chemical industry.  Tyrone is situated in central Pennsylvania 30 minutes from State College, the home of Penn State.

Responsibilities

 

Manages operations in a multiproduct manufacturing facility and adheres to safety, environmental and quality standards based on company, site, and regulatory agency policy. Leads the operations team to ensure the manufacturing facility meets EHS, production, and quality targets. Manages the engagement, performance, and development of the operations department Promotes and drives a strong culture of continuous improvement Facilitates daily production review and planning Provides operations data for the AOP and site absorption planning.  Manages monthly production performance   Individually contributes and speaks to production updates, forecasts, and reviews of the operating plan. Leads operations with a strong understanding of production, yields, cycle time (OEE), scheduling, and fixed costs. Required Qualifications

 

B. S. Degree in an Engineering discipline, Chemical Engineering highly preferred 7+ years of chemical manufacturing industry experience which includes leadership experience. Preferred Qualifications & Skills
