Job DescriptionGrace is seeking an Operations Manager for our South Haven, MI site. The Operations Manager will be accountable for the effectiveness and financial performance of the manufacturing areas and be a member of our Leadership team while reporting to the Plant Manager. Will be the leader of 4 production crews and other site personnel to meet safety, quality, and production goals at the site. The schedule will be M-F, 40 hour work weeks with overtime coverage if needed. This is a 24/7 operation.
The South Haven site produces a portfolio of products for the specialty pharmaceutical industries, specifically Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Consisting of a cGMP kilo lab, pilot plant and custom manufacturing at the commercial volumes, the site is fully equipped to develop and manufacture custom drug intermediates and API’s.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing the production of API products adhering to PSM safety and FDA quality regulations. Leads the operations team to meet EHS, production, and quality targets. Effectively manages staff Promotes and drives a strong culture of continuous improvement Facilitates daily production review and planning with engineering and operations team. Manages a weekly schedule review which includes collaboration and planning with business, Sales, R&D, QA, and other site functions. Manages the AOP and site absorption planning. Manages monthly production performance in accordance to AOP. Individually manages production updates, forecasts, and reviews of the operating plan. Focuses on production, yields, cycle time (OEE), scheduling, and fixed costs. Required Qualifications
B. S. Degree in an Engineering discipline, Chemical Engineering highly preferred 7+ years of chemical manufacturing industry experience which includes leadership/management experience. Preferred Qualifications
