Operations Manager

Salary Range - $85,000 - $100,000

Position Purpose:

Manages all operations at a Plant Facility to include oversight of material processing and transportation services.  Leads process improvement initiatives for all operations teams.  Contributes to the oversight and management of the P&L focusing on cost containment and the achievement of financial targets for all operations.  Ensures operational and regulatory compliance with required regulatory agencies with respect to operations, production, and transportation.  Maintains and monitors performance metrics and measurements to insure we are delivering timely, accurate and compliant services to exceed client expectations.  Acts as an operational liaison with vendors and provides subject matter expertise for operations, production, transportation, and IT systems.  Champions a best place to work culture by identifying key personnel who will recognize culture gaps and promote a positive atmosphere.

Key Job Activities:

•    Selects, trains, and develops a safe, effective, and efficient staff
•    Ensures the business operations meet regulatory and safety compliance measures and operate in a productive and profitable manner
•    Maintains overall cost control of the operation.  Ensures continuous improvement of productivity standards and worker safety performance in all phases of the operation.
•    Interfaces proactively with personnel to achieve business goals
•    Maintains a high level of customer satisfaction, internally and externally
•    Initiates actions to ensure timely resolution of identified hazards, unsafe conditions, or faulty practices.
•    Ensures timely execution of new hire and routine monthly training activity for all transportation and plant personnel. 
•    Perform periodic facility audits, including review of all applicable regulatory paperwork.
•    Provides for preventative equipment maintenance and troubleshooting issues when necessary.
•    Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Experience (North America & LATAM):

•    Education equivalent to bachelor’s degree in Business or Logistics or the equivalent in related work experience, demonstrating related business and technical knowledge and the ability to extract, automate, and analyze data information from several sources
•    Five or more years of management experience in a warehouse, manufacturing or distribution, production, or logistics environment with a focus on direct team member supervision
•    Demonstrates good working knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office

Certifications and/or Licenses: Forklift Driver CertificationCommercial Driver's License A or B (CDL A or B)Benefits:
