Global Logistics Origin Logistics is a team of highly experienced logistics professionals. Our team is responsible for field operation and managing logistics service providers (ocean carriers, origin service providers) at origin including FBA, Retail, Devices and Robotics shipment, effectively handling exceptional. We are seeking a highly motivated talent with strong operations and logistics experience to join us.
Key job responsibilities
As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing operations at origin including:
1. Manage day to day origin operations with vendor, logistics service providers and other Amazon stakeholders, fix the issues quickly and effectively.
2. Manage logistics service provider performance, define, build up and keep fine-tuning management mechanism to track and deep dive on any exception, take solid actions and standardize the process to make sure sustainable results can be delivered.
3. Design and set up realistic and stretching goal and KPI metrics, keep tracking and drive efficient actions.
4. Drive continuously improvement as process expert to help to improve overall supply chain efficiency.
5. Lead / coordinate programs / initiatives proactively with cross function team, and finally to drive / support the customer experience improvements.
Basic Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor’s Degree or above is needed.
2. 5+ years experiences in logistics industry, ocean carrier, freight forwarding, focusing on Customer Service, Operations, or Key Account management.
3. Good influential skills to effectively communicate, negotiate, and manage business partners and teams, E.g. senior management team, peers, suppliers, vendors and clients.
4. Strong analytical skills, effectively information analyzes and interpret capability, efficient problem-solving capability, including reviewing alternatives to determine advantages and associated risks.
5. Be self-motivated/self-directed, and able to manage multiple work streams simultaneously and flawlessly.
6. Convey a sense of urgency, drive issues to closure, persist despite of obstacles and opposition, be passionate about customer obsession and cost, and be effective when working under pressure.
7. Conversant with written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications
1. 5+ years' experience with 3PL service provider management.
2. 5+ years’ experience in freight forwarding, trucking.
3. MBA.
