Job Description:The Operations Manager leads assigned clinical areas to ensure optimal patient access, clinical quality and financial outcomes. Provides leadership to assigned colleagues, monitors engagement, recruitment and retention best practices, and initiatives. The Manager is responsible for achieving financial targets related to staff productivity, physician and advanced practice productivity, and ensures assigned areas are staffed according to volumes. Implements strategic priorities and executes assigned work with direction and guidance from leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages fill rates, physician and advanced practice provider schedules and templates dailyManages in reach or out reach as relevant to assigned practicesImplements actions to improve employee engagementEnsures standard work is implemented to achieve quality metricsProvides coaching, feedback and ensures development conversations are completed for all members of the teamServes as escalation point for patient access to careParticipates in PDSA's and other improvement activitiesProvides input into long-range financial planning, program development and capital planning processDelegates work to assigned supervisors if appropriate

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare leadership or clinical healthcare field

OR

Associate’s degree in nursing and ability to obtain bachelor’s degree within 3 years from date of hire

Required Qualifications:

3 years of healthcare experience, preferably in a clinical setting or completion of administrative fellowship through Essentia Health fellowship program
