Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for all manufacturing activities.
Essential Functions:
Ensure sound, lean manufacturing practices are followed to support the goals of the organizationEnsure maximization of throughput of good product through the plantManage and oversee the facility inside and out such that it presents a professional imageEnsure a safe work environment and safe work practices through a proactive safety programManage and supervise the development of all direct reportsReview application/resume; interview job applicants; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications for casting, finishing and maintenance positionsMonitor probationary period progress and work with supervisors to assure any deficiencies are proven corrected or the probationary period is not passedEnsure continual progress is made on cross training within and across production departmentsContinue company focus on employee engagementCreate and drive continuous improvement agenda that ensures productivity and plant projects are successfully executedEnsure that cost, quality, delivery goals and other KPI goals are metPerform any and all other job-related tasks as assignedRequirements
RequirementsBachelor's degree and a desire to be a continual learnerStrong leadershipWell versed on computers, data retrieval and analysisAutomotive Manufacturing Industry experience of at least five yearsPrior work with manufacturing processes; Machining, Broaching, Assembly, Finishing & Maintenance Manufacturing experience working with aluminum products preferredPrior Operations Management experienceLean ManufacturingExperience with hiring new team members and mentoring
