PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Operations Manager is accountable for providing leadership for the 24/7 manufacturing operation, shift leaders and associated processes. The successful candidate must have strong leadership skills while driving a culture focused on zero-accidents, zero customer complaints, employee engagement, world class housekeeping and drive the change needed to meet business objectives.
The position reports directly to the Operations Leader and is an integral partner in executing the operations strategy for the plant.

Leading Safety
Leads with the OC Safety Brand “Safer Together” and leads with all accidents are preventable, safety is everyone’s responsibility, working safely is condition of employment Drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety and housekeeping Upholds sustainability and environmental compliance/stewardshipSafety Metrics – RIR, injuries, near miss reporting, behavior-based safety, SAFE/Critical 6
Knowing Our Customers
Quality – Assists in driving to zero defects Partner with peers, manufacturing engineers, etc. to clearly understand customer’s FFU’s and constantly meet/exceed customer expectations
Metrics - Customer Fitness for use (FFU), Schedule Attainment, Customer Complaints
Leading Operational Performance
Identify and drive continuous improvement efforts to improve safety, productivity and quality performance Set clear and measurable performance expectations, in line with plant goals; communicating and ensuring results are achieved for self and direct reports Effective deployment of employee/labor relations practices (building a strong partnership) Ensure the Daily Management process is working effectively and efficiently in all areas of responsibility Drive a reduction in losses through Autonomous Maintenance Partner with other departments and TPM Pillars to achieve plant priorities
Metrics - Performance against operating plan, Conversion Efficiency (CE), Volume, Cost per lb, environmental Compliance AM Expansion Plan
Leading and Developing Talent
Create and sustain a culture where talent is developed through effective performance management, talent evaluation, and utilization of people Effectively staff the organization Attract, develop, and retain the very best talent
JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A minimum of 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience Direct supervision experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
TPM experience preferred Experience in dealing with union operations 4 year College/University Degree in Business or Engineering is preferredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
