Job Description
Our client specializes in infection prevention solutions, particularly in the healthcare sector. They are renowned for their innovative technologies aimed at preventing the transmission of infections. This operations manager role supports the Indianapolis service center and manufacturing. The business is divided into two main sections: servicing and fixing electronic hospital devices and producing products for these devices. The facility includes a clean room for manufacturing, a lab, and a service center. The manager will support all sections of the business and work to implement new lean manufacturing principles and facilitate the growth of the facility.
ResponsibilitiesOversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure productivity and efficiency.Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing processes and reduce costs.Monitor production schedules and adjust as necessary to meet customer demands.Lead, mentor, and develop the manufacturing and warehouse team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including receiving, storing, and shipping products.Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Analyse production data and generate reports for management.Coordinate with other departments, including supply chain, quality assurance, and engineering, to ensure smooth operations.Implement Lean manufacturing principles and drive initiatives to minimize waste.Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively.Identify training needs and facilitate professional development for team members.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in engineering or related field.5+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing.Knowledge and experience with ISO13485 and FDA CFR 21 part 820.Experience with lean manufacturing and six sigma methodologies (belt certified).Proficiency in manufacturing process, program management, and time studies.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with operations management, process improvement, continuous improvement, lean six sigma, process engineering, and kaizen.Work Environment
The work environment includes onsite manufacturing with a mix of office, manufacturing, and clean room settings.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $57.00 - $70.00/hr.
