**Job Title: Operations Manager**
**Job Description**
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing facility. You will oversee the team leads, blenders, and hourly operators to ensure production goals, safety, policies, and procedures are followed. This role also involves implementing and maintaining operations processes and procedures, reporting on performance, and initiating improvements based on company needs and customer requirements. You will hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively.
**Responsibilities**
+ Direct production to ensure cost-effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.
+ Maintain regular surveillance of production plants and supporting sites to verify safe and efficient operations.
+ Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for process upsets, spills, off-spec batches, and operator errors. Ensure implementation and enforcement of recommendations from these RCAs.
+ Thorough knowledge and understanding of product development processes, quality assurance processes, and all logistical functions.
+ Oversee line flush, off-spec, and off-grade materials and rework materials according to rates issued by the quality control group.
+ Assure effective customer service and relations through the timely delivery of quality products.
+ Select, train, develop, and motivate manufacturing staff to maintain plant operations.
+ Work cross-functionally with both plant and corporate staff.
+ Superior problem-solving abilities.
+ Experience and understanding of supply chain best practices.
+ Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proven leadership experience.
+ Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Develop, coach, and counsel employees.
+ Perform other tasks, duties, and responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Manager.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 5+ years of experience in a role with direct involvement in the production of specialty chemicals.
+ Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and set priorities to meet deadlines.
+ Ability to influence others and work within cross-functional teams to make responsible decisions.
+ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
+ Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite.
+ High tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility with respect to job functions and working hours in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
