Responsible for the onsite operation of the Holiday Support Facility (HSF) in Alaska. This includes overseeing product quality, service level, and cost control. In addition, this individual will be responsible for meeting sales and profit expectations.

Product Quality
Ensure quality of all products distributed meets specified standardsPresentation and flavor of all food products must be appealing to attract and maintain customer baseService Level
Ensure all product deliveries to stores are fulfilled and accurateOperational Efficiency
Develop and maintain an efficient and effective workforcePerform and monitor action plans to reduce cost per unit produced and distributedConstruct and maintain optimum loading proceduresDevelop optimum routing of delivery trucksSafety/Regulatory Compliance
Ensure HSF meets all FDA, MDA and MN Department of Health requirementsDevelop and maintain a positive, professional and safe work environmentResponsible for operating a safe facility (following all safety and OSHA requirements)Reporting/Communication
Provide weekly updates to the HSF Director pertaining to entire operationProduce reports and documents summarizing activity at the HSFInitiate and maintain relationships with HSF vendorsResponsible for negotiating and maintaining best buying practicesProfitability
Analyze labor control and adjust as neededReduce cost to enhance profitabilityMust meet or exceed goals per the budget planAUTONOMY/IMPACT OF ERROR:

SIGNIFICANT EXTERNAL/INTERNAL CONTACTS:
Regular contacts with vendors and supervisors. Requires definition of problems, solutions, discussion, persuasion and obtaining approvals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Demonstrated knowledge of general food service operation including food service production (retail food service experience is preferred)Knowledge of food service delivery/transportationKnowledge of food service equipment and automationMust have strong analytical skillsProven ability to supervise and lead employees to produce successful food service productionMust have excellent written/verbal skillsEDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in business or operations management preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
5+ years of operations or plant management experience
