Job Description: Operations Manager – Cabinet Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

Oversee and track incoming materials from vendors, including hardware, doors, and drawers. Train and cross-train employees, ensuring high-quality standards in their work. Assign tasks to employees or teams for completing sections of work orders. Collaborate with the Operations Director to identify and address potential issues proactively. Manage and maintain inventory of hardware and consumables; request replenishment as needed. Provide guidance to the team on work orders, including hardware selection, materials needed, and efficient procedures. Lead department meetings and company-wide safety meetings. Monitor team adherence to safe work practices and set performance goals. Work with the team to: Ensure projects are assembled, loaded onto trucks, and delivered on schedule. Confirm products are completed in the finishing process on time and meet quality standards. Optimize the workflow through CNC and edge bander operations for maximum efficiency. Periodically review team performance and provide feedback as needed. Report machinery or equipment issues to the Operations Director for repair or replacement.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in cabinet manufacturing and installation techniques. Strong problem-solving skills. Solid understanding of materials, including wood and hardware. Experience in leading and managing a team effectively.
