​ Eaton’s Electrical Division’s Supply Chain Group is currently seeking an Operations Manager - Distribution Center (3rd Shift) to join the team. This role is based at our Lancaster, TX site. Relocation assistance is available! **Who we are:** We are one of three major distribution hubs for the Eaton Electrical Sector consisting of 145 employees, with projected expansion to approximately 300 employees within the next year. We operate in a 575,000 sq ft warehousing space distributing four product lines with growth to six product lines in the next year. We operate 110+ powered industrial vehicles to receive and process material for shipment. The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. ​ **What you’ll do:** The Distribution Center (DC) Operations Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for a medium to high-volume order fulfillment distribution center. This role also includes supporting functional excellence across divisional facilities. The manager will ensure efficient product receipt, storage, and order fulfillment operations by optimizing resources and processes, while meeting key performance metrics in safety, quality, cost, and employee engagement. The position will initially start on the day shift for support and training purposes. After two months, it will transition to the 3rd shift, running from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The DC Operations Manager role will drive the operation through development and implementation of key processes to ensure compliance within company policies and procedures. By using continual process improvement tools (such as Lean and Six Sigma), the DC Operations Manager will lead employee initiatives to create and promote an environment where team members are involved, empowered, and committed to the success of the company. **In this function you will:** + Manage a staff of supervisors and associates to ensure timely distribution of merchandise within the standards of budget, policies, procedures, and quality to satisfy the requirements of the customers, sales operations, and finance divisions. + Effectively lead associates by creating a common vision and an understanding of the organization’s strategy, as well as enhancing associate commitment through the celebration of individual and group achievements. + Ensure the development of systems and procedures for operating and managing physical facilities, human resources, equipment, and products in a profitable manner. + Plan, direct, and implement warehouse operations and administrative support to meet prescribed productivity and service goals. + Operate in compliance with federal, state, and local statutes. + Direct the operations of the warehouse management team to achieve prescribed objectives. + Apply sound communication and motivational techniques, create programs to supervise, counsel and discipline subordinates. + Ensure the creation of the necessary warehouse information systems to meet company objectives and facilitate the efficient operations of the warehouse. Remain knowledgeable regarding changes in hardware and software technology. + Develop and recommends an annual operating budget. Develop and manage a system of controls to ensure that service levels and operational performance goals are met within prescribed cost, revenue, and profit parameters. Assure that all accounts achieve established profit standards. + Procure equipment and facilities required to assure efficient operation and meet company profit goals. Develop suitable programs for maintaining company standards of sanitation, maintenance, security, housekeeping, and safety. **What will make you successful?** The ideal candidate has extensive experience in lean deployment and a deep understanding of material handling equipment, storage mediums, and process flow optimization. You possess strong financial planning and forecasting skills, enabling effective budget oversight and risk management. Excellent communication abilities are essential, as the role requires effective interaction within a highly matrixed organization. You must demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to recruit, develop, and lead a high-performance team. You will foster an inclusive and engaging work environment, reflecting the core values of customer focus, integrity, respect, teamwork, and commitment. **Qualifications:** **Required (Basic) Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution is required. + Minimum 5 years of distribution center/warehouse or operations experience. + Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience. + Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering. + Six sigma green belt certification a plus. + Experience working with a RF based WMS and TMS systems. + Experience leading an operation with light assembly. + Experience with quality systems and ISO certification.
