Operations Manager - Drinking Water Treatment

We are seeking an Operations Manager - Drinking Water to lead the daily operations and maintenance at our water plants in Belle Chasse, LA, USA. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to lead a dedicated team and deliver detailed water management solutions.

We are looking for candidates who have active Louisiana Class IV Water Licenses in Water Production, Water Treatment, and Water Distribution. This position requires that you live in Belle Chasse or within a 20-minute commute to our Water Treatment plant, relocation may be available.

Primary Responsibilities Operational responsibility for the treatment and distribution of drinking water including daily activities of water operator and maintenance of plant equipment.Lead a team of operators in all aspects of people management, including hiring, orientation/onboarding, performance management, salary changes, promotions, training and development, transfers, and terminations.Monitor and review staff work, providing mentoring and support for improvement.Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements including DOT and OSHA.Conduct site visits and coordinate with the maintenance team on repairs and maintenance activities.Manage the maintenance of all trucks and equipment, including capital budgeting.Build and manage operational budgets and generate monthly operations reports.Assess operational performance and successfully implement continuous improvements.Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Experience, and Skills Education/Experience: BA/BS in a related field and 5-7 years of experience in water management. Two years of previous supervisory experience required.Licenses/Certifications: Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred). Class IV Water Operator’s License in Louisiana in Water Production, Water Treatment and Water Distribution. Other licenses may vary based on site-specific needs.Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet. Ability to work with basic office equipment and phone systems. Solid understanding of OSHA requirements, DOT regulations, and Utility SOPs. Proficiency in completing all regulatory documentation, reports, and correspondence.Communication Skills: Communicate clearly and professionally.
