Description for Network Service Division Operations Manager
Seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to support Department of Defense (DoD) elements in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating processes within the Network Service Division and assisting Headquarters in overseeing the daily operations of IT Service Centers. This role ensures that systems and infrastructure operate efficiently and effectively.
Key responsibilities include managing the team responsible for system maintenance and ensuring timely and efficient execution of maintenance activities. The candidate will also collaborate with service centers to create JIRA tickets for tracking projects and task-related actions. Additionally, the Operations Manager will assist government leadership in identifying risks and issues associated with project tasks and determining appropriate mitigation actions.
The ideal candidate must be an initiative-taking self-starter, capable of identifying opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency. This role involves coordinating various projects, fostering teamwork, and implementing best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Performance Areas: Project Coordination: Plan, execute, and oversee network service projects from inception to completion. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Manage project resources, timelines, and deliverables effectively. Teamwork and Collaboration Skills: Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and open communication. Lead and mentor team members, promoting a culture of shared success and professional growth. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of network services. Lifecycle Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive lifecycle plans for network services, including tracking the design, deployment, operation, and decommissioning. Monitor and review lifecycle stages to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals. Manage risks and issues throughout the lifecycle to minimize disruptions and maintain service quality. Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Network Service Division, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality services. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational success and identify areas for improvement. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Required skills and qualifications: PMI Certification 6 years’ experience in IT Operations Management or Project Management Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility Jira and Confluence -Experience in creating and organizing JIRA IT tickets in a logical fashion for ease for reporting to Government leadership. Leadership: Oversee and coordinate tasks, motivate and encourage the team, and define the roadmap to successfully complete project related activities. Organization: Ensure processes run smoothly, prioritize tasks, compartmentalize projects, and document everything for easy access. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Lifecycle Management: Assist the Network Service Division by identifying future lifecycle requirements and coordinating with other sections to ensure financial resources are allocated for the next fiscal year. Adaptability: Adjust to changing project requirements and environments. Desired Skills: Advance JIRA and Confluence experience Compensation- $160k- $170k plus full benefits package
