**Job Location:** Bridgewater, VA
**Job Purpose:** The Operations Program Manager reports to the Vice President of Defense Operations and is responsible for developing and maintaining excellent customer relations; managing company resources and personnel to effectively execute contract activities; ensuring aircraft, equipment, and personnel comply with all applicable laws, standards, and policies; and ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met and improvement initiatives are pursued and achieved.
**Job duties include** **:**
+ **Onboard Customers** **, to include coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to schedule meetings,** **orient and familiarize customers with processes, and ensure all required documentation is accurate, complete, and filed.**
+ **Manage Customer Relationships** **, acting as primary Point of Contact,** **by regularly communicating with customers to understand their needs and expectations, conducting periodic review meetings, and promptly addressing and resolving any customer concerns or program risks.**
+ **Manage Assigned Resources** , including staffing, aircraft, and equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring staffing levels are adequate to meet customer needs (partner with HR for recruitment/development/retention needs) and also aircraft and equipment are maintained to ensure assets are safe and reliable.
+ **Coordinate Team Activity** , by scheduling and leading team meetings, assigning tasks and monitoring progress, and fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
+ **Monitor and Manage Team Performance,** **tracking key performance metrics, ensuring project timelines and key milestones are achieved, and analyzing data to identify trends to provide regular reports and improvement recommendations to leadership.**
+ **Ensure Compliance and Manage Risk,** ensuring operations comply with relevant regulations and company standards by anticipating and identifying operational risks, developing mitigation strategies, and coordinating with the Quality/Safety team to conduct regular audits to validate compliance.
+ **Optimize Processes** , by analyzing current operational processes, identifying improvement areas, then developing and implementing improvement initiatives, and monitoring and adjusting strategies based on impacts to processes and business.
+ **Establish Team Goals** which align with strategic goals, leading your team to develop action plans to achieve or exceed key metrics, and monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
+ **Develop Assigned Team Members** by providing leadership and clear direction, conducting regular performance reviews, providing feedback, identifyingtraining needs, and facilitating professional development opportunities and personal growth.
+ **Manage Initiatives,** **leading and managing strategic initiatives and projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation, and tracking project progress and report on outcomes.**
+ **Resolve Conflicts** within the team, mediating disputes and providing support as needed, and implementing strategies to prevent future conflicts.
+ **Manage Segment Finances** **by ensuring monthly charges are properly captured, monthly invoices are reviewed, approved, and distributed to customers, and by ensuring timely payment from customers by quickly addressing and resolving any discrepancies or disputes as they arise.**
+ **Assist in Developing Business** by collaboratingwith Business Development to conduct customer research, understand customer trends and needs, identify opportunities for growth and development, and providing recommendations based on research findings.
**Qualified applicants will:**
+ Be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Minimum requirement for hire will have a DoD Secret Clearance.
+ Possess ability to effectively communicate operational strategy and operational details either to external stakeholders or internal stakeholders across the organization.
+ Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Demonstrate proven ability to be an effective team leader, able to adapt their leadership and communication styles to lead a diverse group with varied backgrounds and skill sets.
+ Be able to multitask, properly prioritizing project activity, effectively communicating and managing deadlines, challenges, process stages, and performing well under pressure in dynamic conditions.
+ Be proficient in Microsoft Suite products (Word, Excel, etc.) and able to quickly learn personnel and finance information systems.
+ Be willing to regularly work outside of regular business hours and on weekends, as customer and operational needs dictate.
**Exceptional candidates will:**
+ Possess proficiency in utilizing ERP systems.
+ PMP Certification Preferred.
+ Have some experience in Supply Chain management/coordination.
+ Possess experience in budgeting within a Program Management context.
+ Be familiar with or have expertise in Microsoft Project Scheduling and Pentagon ERP system.
+ Have knowledge of or expertise in DCMA, AS9100, Lean, and Daily Management GEMBA concepts/systems.
+ Have an aviation operations background with experience in aviation dispatch or maintenance.
**Job Experience:** Minimum five years working in an aviation or military operations field (or a combination thereof), and three years minimum supervisory experience.
