Operations Project Manager

The Bloomberg Center for Public Innovation at Johns Hopkins University (the Center) seeks an **_Operations Project Manager_** to support the Strategy and Operations Practice. The first of its kind in the world, the Center aims to advance the field of public sector innovation by marrying cutting-edge practice with world class research in order to transform the culture of government, deliver exceptional results for residents, and inspire trust in public service.
The Operations Project Manager will play a central role in structuring and managing the Center’s administrative and operational functions. The Operations Project Manager will work closely with Executive leadership to ensure that the Center is supported with the full range of available resources.
The Center is committed to working with communities that are focused on ending legacies of structural, entrenched racism and oppression. The Project Manager must be willing to think about reimagined government, knowledge, and engagement models through the lens of dismantling these legacies.
**Specific Duties & Responsibilities**
Project Management - 60%
+ In consultation with the Director of Strategy and Operations and other senior leaders, design and implement strategies for continuous improvement in business operations, program alignment, and staff development.
+ Lead the creation of business improvement processes and projects.
+ Manage implementation of new processes, including protocol development, resource production, and staff training.
+ Implement best practices and process improvements to manage scope, project activities, project schedule, issues, and risks
+ Lead special projects on behalf of Executive leadership.
+ Maintain effective communication and feedback channels with program and project leadership to keep the project aligned with goals.
+ Prepare status reports, risk management assessments, and other lifecycle reports and documentation for review by Director for Strategy and Operations
+ Create briefings, presentations, and talking points for a variety of audiences, including but not limited to funder meetings and public speaking events.
+ Manage collaborator coordination when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
+ Promote synergies with teams across the Center to propose and develop sustainable and innovative solutions.
+ Perform other duties, as assigned.
_Operations Administration - 40%_
+ Oversee travel authorization and approval processes; conduct training and serve as SME for staff
+ Perform monthly finance reconciliation for operations purchases and transactions.
+ Provide high-level planning support and material creation for the executive office, including but not limited to development of agendas and briefings, deck assembly, and creation of schedules.
+ Manage and execute internal communications routines.
+ Provide support for special events and executive hospitality.

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree required.
+ Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience.
+ Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience in corporate, non-profit, agency environments.
+ Five years of project management experience.
+ Interest in city government and experience working in the public sector or adjacent industries, including management or change management consulting.

Starting Salary Range: $85,500 - $149,800 Annually (Commensurate with experience)
