As a Quality Assurance Engineer supporting the fabrication of
Transformers and High Voltage Power Supplies, you will interface with Operations Quality, Engineering, and Program Leadership to ensure compliance of Product and Processes. You will be responsible for development or First Article Inspection Plans, Approval of Test Procedures and Assembly Processes as well and development of Desktop and Local Instructions. You will work with the Production team and Quality Leadership to conduct Audits and interface with compliance to represent Mission Assurance during 2nd and 3rd party audits. You will be utilizing controlled processes, inspection tooling and drawing packages in an Electro-Mechanical manufacturing environment that requires the ability to identify nonconformances in both product and process documentation. You will provide disposition for nonconformances and aid the Production team in utilizing the Corrective Action process to eliminate systemic issues. You will also work with Quality Management and the Production team to effectively communicate issues and identify solutions that will help improve overall quality and consistency of process implementation and product.
*1st Shift - 5:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – San Diego, CA. This position is an onsite role.
What You Will Do
Work side by side with Inspection and Production Personnel in a small-Scale Manufacturing environment to meet Quality and Customer delivery requirements.Provide Mission Assurance Leadership Support to effectively manage Quality issues across the project.Aid engineering in the development and approval of Assembly and Test Procedures.Ensure area compliance to Command Media and Process requirements.Conducts in-process and final inspections of electronic assemblies to determine product quality and acceptability of inspected items. Identify, Document and provide disposition for Nonconforming Product.Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and less than 2 years prior relevant experience.Experience in working in a Manufacturing or Depot Repair EnvironmentExperience in working in a Quality or Inspection role.Familiarity with basic inspection Handtools (Calipers, Mirometers, Inspection scopes, etc. )Experience in working with Microsoft Office tool suite (Basic usage of Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer
Industry recognized certification in Electronics or Quality (i.e. IPC, ASQ, Six Sigma, etc.).Must be able to effectively communicate technical issues to Quality, Program and Manufacturing Leadership team.Able to work as a team member to resolve production issues and proactively contribute to process improvements.Familiarity with Principles of ISO/AS Quality Management System requirements.What We Offer

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
