Responsible for operational excellence and execution.  They own the assessment process for skill and capability per the employee and project requirements, while maintaining cost effectiveness across capacity to meet client deadlines.  Leads, plans, and/or reports on initiatives for Bureau Veritas’ (BV) strategic and operational planning.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in conformance with state and federal regulations.

Provides essential support and alignment across the Asset Management division through process improvements, training, and business support. Collaborates closely with Operations, Technology, and Sales teams to better align resourcing and project start dates/prioritization. This role encompasses comprehensive training support from onboarding to retraining and enhancing the project management training function. Business operations, training, and staff resourcing will be centralized and streamlined to ensure consistent results across Asset Management division, while also coordinating with Transactional and Project Management divisions as needed. Optimizes resources and prioritizes projects to better align start dates with staff and support resource availability. Monitors workflows and implements process improvements. Collaborates with Sales on forecasting improvements to align with resource availability and start dates. Integration of Design Practice into Asset Management division protocols for staff sharing. Partner with the Data Intelligence team to develop dashboards. Assist Directors in schedule/resource planning. Developing central scheduling protocols/tools and aligning with resource scheduling. Central financial monitoring tools and reports. Assist with project kickoffs to make them successful. Align deadlines and report generation/late reports (with a goal of eventual automation). Review report delivery from both field staff and report delivery staff.  Work to align timelines, templates, and protocols. Lead staff training coordination. Create training protocols for staff sharing.  Monitor and schedule cross training of staff to increase flexible capacity. Assign and monitor on-site shadowing for new team members. Review Project Manager-In-Training and/or mentor programs to assess need for similar in Asset Management division. Understand client satisfaction by reviewing process, surveys, feedback, issues, etc. Supports the team with training, cross resourcing and business operations. Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with all stakeholders. Manages department staff by training and coaching employees. Assists in identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and technological solutions. Designs, implements, and/or executes operational and organizational initiatives.  Maintains open communication with management and staff regarding operational matters. Protects operations by keeping company information confidential. Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to clients’ needs. Demonstrates BV’s guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals. Follows all documented policies, standard operating procedures, and work Instructions applicable to the position and support of BV's quality standards and strategic initiatives. Maintains safe and clean work area by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Supervises employees in a direct reporting relationship. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university in related field; minimum of four years of related experience. In lieu of degree, six years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None required.
 

Language Ability: Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, peers, and technical field staff.

 

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

Technology Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in operating a computer, having knowledge of word processing software, spreadsheet software, and project management software.
