Operations Services Manager-Arby's

The Manager of Operations Services is responsible for driving the effectiveness and efficiency of processes, systems, and procedures, while also creating comprehensive operational documentation for tests and system initiatives. This role involves leading projects by executing test processes, tracking and analyzing data, and providing strategic recommendations, as well as overseeing the implementation of approved projects. Additionally, this Manager will develop solutions for specific process, design, and system challenges, supporting operations through close collaboration with internal teams to address questions and remove obstacles

RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluate current system processes and procedures, systematically analyzing root causes of work-related issues. Identify, frame, and collect data on problems, presenting innovative solutions and methods to improve or resolve deficiencies.

Conduct work measurement studies, throughput analysis, and cycle time evaluations to enhance operational efficiencies. Design data-driven solutions for improvement based on thorough field analysis.

Lead projects independently, functioning as the product-based project lead for operational procedure development. Identify, test, and implement operational processes for new systems, equipment, procedures, and process improvements.

Lead cross-functional teams across various departments in a matrix organization, proactively sharing best practices to achieve optimal outcomes. Engage with experts to solve challenges and manage external partnerships professionally.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with coworkers, management, franchisees, and operators, demonstrating professionalism, decision-making, and negotiation skills. Maintain a positive, team-oriented approach.

Visit restaurants to assess and support operational systems, including kitchen and process flow design, equipment, and materials. Provide training and follow-up on operational procedures, communicating updates through presentations and publications. Utilize strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and set priorities.

Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements related to foodservice operations.

Adhere to Arby’s Restaurant Group’s Business Code of Conduct, Corporate Compliance Program, and company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

Knowledge and understanding of production flow, design, equipment adjacencies, and the impact each has on overall ease of operations.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with tight timelinesMaintains a sense of urgency to complete assignmentsExperience with operations measurement toolsAbility to learn detailed Arby’s operational knowledge within 60 days of hire Superior written and verbal communication skillsHigh degree of computer literacy along with highly advanced skills in the following: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.

Preferred:

Experience in the field of project management and / or Six Sigma (Green or Yellow Belt)Knowledge of, Adobe Acrobat, CAD, In Design and Photo Shop, ARENA or other simulation softwareChange management, Kaizen, LEAN experienceHistory of leading multiple projects
