Operations Shift Supervisor

Inpria Corporation, a subsidiary of JSR Corporation, has an immediate opening for an Operations Shift Supervisor based in Corvallis, OR. We seek an engaging and conscientious candidate to join our High-Volume Manufacturing team, contributing directly to our success by supervising and mentoring our team of Operators and Technicians.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain a safe working environment, ensure proper PPE is being used, and report safety and environmental incidents to EHS for corrective actionSupervise staff, provide daily guidance and mentoring, manage schedules and timecards, and address performance issues as they ariseOversee daily operations, document shift pass-downs, and understand daily work-in-progressUphold Inpria’s Quality standards (training provided)Coordinate with other departments, such as Engineering and Logistics, for the production and shipment of finished goodsFill in for missing Operations staff, as needed, to prevent delays in manufacturing or shippingEnsure staff keeps current on all required training and certificationsOther duties as assigned

Key Qualifications

BS degree with 2+ years management experience, or 4+ years management experience, ideally in a chemical manufacturing environmentTrack record of safe manufacturing and laboratory practicesActive and effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skillsSelf-motivated and proactive in achieving goalsTeamwork skills to thrive in a fast-paced collaborative manufacturing operations environmentAbility to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test

Physical Requirements

Ability to walk and stand for extended periodsAbility to move 20 lbs. overheadAbility to move to 40 lbs. from floor to countertopAbility to move full 55-gallon drums with appropriate equipmentAbility to use a glovebox with thick rubber gloves to accurately pour, pipet, mix, and handle chemicals in small bottlesAbility to wear standard cleanroom attire and required PPEMay require fitting and use of a respirator for specific tasksAbility to use a hand truck, drum lifter, and pallet jack to transport heavy objectsAbility to use a glovebox that requires handling of small objects with thick rubber glovesAbility to use a keyboard and mouse for computer data entry and/or analysis, and presenting dataAbility to work 10- or 12-hour days, including weekend days and some holidays, depending on assigned shift; Inpria maintains a 7-day schedule, 7:00 am-7:30 pm
