Operations Specialist/Analyst

The Operations Specialist/Analyst will directly support the Office of Defense Nonproliferation and Arms Control (NA-24).

This full-time position is contingent upon client approval.  This position is located in Washington, DC.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

As a critical member of the NA-24 Front Office team, develop proposals to strengthen processes, systems, and procedures to track, coordinate and respond to a high volume of daily actions.  Implement improvements and continue to identify and recommend efficiencies.  Develop standard operating procedures and routinely communicate updates to all relevant staff. Prioritize incoming actions and coordinate the response and review in coordination with subject matter experts, management, and other program offices as necessary. Support the communication of consistent NA-24 messaging in responses to all actions.  Assist in developing new approaches to organize and catalog completed actions to use as a resource to respond to similar actions as appropriate. Serve as primary liaison to various committees and organizations. Assist with editing input for consistency in NA-24 messaging and strategy. Serve as a liaison between NA-24 program offices, the Outreach Team, and Public Affairs to increase NA-24’s profile. Attend monthly meetings and identify opportunities to publicize programmatic events. Participate in strategic planning and programmatic review meetings and to document, track, and help facilitate the completion of resulting actions. Serve as NA-24 liaison for high-level meetings and briefings. Produce read ahead materials, generate talking points, and draft policy papers and other documents as necessary. Help to prepare required materials, including briefings, background papers, and talking points, for meetings and trips of NA-24, agency, or departmental leadership. Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree  DOE Q clearance - current and active, or ability to obtain a Q clearance Minimum 5-10 years professional experience Must have excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Must be self-motivated, proactive, and solution-oriented Must be able to manage the workload and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced corporate environment Must be able to meet or exceed short turnaround deadlines Experience with working collaboratively with senior management Time management, problem solving, and organizational skills are critical Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s preferred DOE Q clearance - current and active Previous experience with tasker management and organization

LOCATION: This is a full-time onsite position in Washington, DC  20024, USA

Telework options are available with a requirement to be in the office at least three days a week, based on the level of in-person meetings and office needs.

SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
