Operations Specialist Location: Fresno, CA, US, 93725 Position Type: Professional Transport is at the core of modern society. We are seeking a dynamic and results -driven Operation’s Specialist to increase productivity and create policies for overall department improvement. The Operations Specialist with be responsible for dispatching technicians, opening and closing work orders, overseeing all current job progress with technicians and maintaining all OSHA mandated safety standards. This role requires a team player who communicates well with a team, is accountable, organized and has a strong understanding of Construction Equipment. **Main task and responsibilities:** • Monitor Key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. • Dispatching: Coordinating all shop/field jobs with technicians and communicating vital information to the team, such as customer information, service request and emergency alerts. • Prepare sales reports and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities. • Assist the sales team with order processing, quotes and customer inquiries. • Opening/Closing Work orders: Opening shop/field work orders for technicians. Will provide weekly updates and communicate any concerns or issues with current jobs. • Maintain Shop Safety: Developing and implementing safety protocols to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries. Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Schedule and conduct monthly tool-box topics with technicians. • Assisting Technicians: oversee all pre delivery inspections and monthly inspections of stock machines. Assist technicians with smaller jobs (Assisting and performing pm services, removing battery cables, steam clean radiators and charging batteries.) • Load/Unload units: Provide and collect all necessary paperwork, help load and unload all deliveries and shipments. Help organize the units by category and importance. **Key Skills:** • Self-motivated and a self-starter. • Understands customer business models and needs. • Strong Communication – sets and communicates high performance standards for self and others. understands the importance of communication within a team. • Exhibits personal sense of urgency and follows through on service support needs. Returns phone calls/ emails in a timely manner. Has a keen sense of customer expectations and is constantly seeking to improve the value of our Volvo product and service department. • Ability to effectively interact with internal teams to establish trust and credibility amongst those groups. Demonstrates effective conflict resolution skills. **Qualifications:** • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Operations Management, or related field preferred. • 2+ years of technical or mechanical experience preferred • 2+ years of experience in operations or administrative roles, preferably in the construction or equipment industry. • Experience with safety and OSHA guidelines • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and dealership management software. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. **Benefits:** • Competitive medical, dental and vision insurance • Countless career opportunities / internal mobility across our global organization • State-of-the-art training and personal development • PTO and tax deferred retirement plans, varied by business We also offer an array of additional benefits and programs that make today’s challenging reality of combining work and personal life easier. For this position, the hourly rate is set at $28.00 - $32.00, and where applicable, bonus eligible. The range for this role, as well as final salary offered, is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, and experience.
