Summary About the Position: This Operations Specialist is located at White Sands Test Center, XO Operations Directorate, White Sands Missile Ranger, New Mexico. ATEC U.S. Army White Sands Test Center uses salary control points within the salary range to allow for differentiation in the level of positions within the same broadband. Therefore, the salary for this position will be set no higher than $115,774 (with locality). Responsibilities Conduct functional and operational analyses of all missions with a thorough grasp of strategic concepts and vision, assist in the developments of strategy/task methodology. Coordinate directly with the staff directorates and White Sand Test Center Test Directorates. Tasks and tracks Individual Augmentees, and tracks Exercise Support tasking’s. Provide reclama to subordinate units within seven days of receiving a request for tasking when the request is denied by the White Sand Test Center Executive Officer. Serve as the White Sand Test Center subject-matter expert for tasking. Assist in the coordination of command operational policies procedures to include the command SOPs for crisis actions, defense conditions, and emergency situations. Maintain current knowledge of operations, force structure issues, and Army system capabilities. Provide coordination and continuity for Test Center and Installation events in their preparation and execution along with the development of the standards for the conduct of the test or ceremony. One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) experience evaluating existing programs, operations and/or force structure for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) Operation and/or Range Control Operation; (2) experience with tasking regulations and operating. procedures to support an organization tasking requirements; and (3) experience with Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) or Battle Staff concepts and operational order (OPORDS). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
