Responsibilities
Assists community management as a temporary BAH manager during vacancy or assists current manager with supervision, training, and compliance on an as needed basis. May be assigned to a Brookdale at Home office during a management vacancy, startup, acquisition, vacations, or leaves of absence. Functions in multiple roles to include supervising, quality assurance, training, regulatory matters and direct resident care as needed. Conducts operations in a manner consistent with value drivers and strategic initiatives to uphold and improve customer satisfaction, associate satisfaction, occupancy, culture, and operational effectiveness.
+ Assists in the recruitment and retention of qualified staff and in the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive team atmosphere. May interview and recommend hiring qualified associates.
+ Provides assistance in the areas of marketing, outreach, client admissions, client assessments and discharge procedures.
+ May assist with and/or conduct associate performance reviews.
+ May assess the training needs for staff, and provide training as needed.
+ May assist in the resolution of budget discrepancies and variances.
+ Works to resolve issues identified by clients and/or their family members.
+ Ensures residence building and grounds are clean, free of trash and litter, and maintained in good repair.
+ May perform routine safety inspections and ensure OSHA regulations for a safe work environment are followed.
+ May assist healthcare management team to organize, develop, and conduct service plan reviews; supervises the maintenance of client charts; reviews documentation performed by resident care staff.
+ Manages subordinate supervisor(s) who supervise direct caregiver and or schedulers. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of BAH services.
+ Makes own travel arrangements and communicates with supervisor as to travel plans and changes.
+ Assures that agency is run efficiently and is in compliant with any state or federal regulations.
+ May be required to care for clients if staffing dictates.
+ May support a Regional Vice President with a special project or other assignments.
+ May conduct chart and associate file audits as part of the performance improvement program.
+ May organize and conduct performance improvement program quarterly meeting as indicated.
+ May be involved in data-gathering, writing and summarizing annual agency evaluation in assigned role.

Qualifications
Education and ExperienceRegistered Nurse preferred; or Bachelor’s Degree from four year college or university and 3-5 years’ experience in health care arena, home care preferred; at least 1+ years’ experience in management position in health care, home care arena preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special RequirementsNone.
Management/Decision MakingUses strong analytic skills and an in-depth understanding of the organization and the business in order to handle arising problems and issues. Makes recommendations regarding overall business improvement and function of community.
Knowledge and SkillsHas an advanced knowledge of the organization, industry, and a functional discipline. Extensive understanding of technical areas gained through experience and used to complete and/or oversee assignments. Familiarity with Microsoft software preferred.
