The AWS Industries (AWSI) organization supports Fortune 200 enterprise organizations with multi-national operations and decentralized IT decision making in their journey to AWS. Within AWSI, the Healthcare & Life Sciences (HCLS) Industry is seeking an experienced Sales Strategy & Operations Lead who will provide operational and analytical support to the sales team.
This is a global role responsible for leading critical operational cadences such as annual planning/in-year planning, revenue management/forecasting cycles, as well as customer level analytics. This role will also be responsible for driving operational excellence both within the HCLS IBU and the broader industry, in partnership with other AWS stakeholders, such as AGS, Global Services, Partner Sales, and Public Sector, driving consistency and accuracy in opportunity and revenue management.
The successful candidate has excellent business and sales acumen, strong communication and collaboration skills, deep analytics experience, broad technical skills, and a demonstrated ability to both execute and influence. The candidate must be willing to roll up their sleeves, dive deep to lean, be comfortable working within ambiguity, and have a passion for driving operational excellence.

About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)
AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

Basic Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in the areas of finance, business management and/or sales operations in mid-to-large scale organization
- Experience managing complicated operational processes like annual planning or forecasting cycles
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Expertise with Salesforce, Tableau or other BI/analytics tools
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in the areas of finance, business management and/or sales operations in mid-to-large scale organization
- Experience with SQL
- Strong financial, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to think strategically about business challenges using data
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to ruthlessly prioritize competing demands
- Ability to build effective working relationship with account management, and sales operations teams and drive resolution when conflicts or issues arise.
- Possess solid interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively organize and communicate with cross-functional teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $169,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
