As an Operations Supervisor, you will:
For assigned region plans workload, schedules, and supervises workers in assigned Facilities Engineering operations and services.
Responsible for assigning, monitoring, and balancing the ongoing workload of the assigned staff, utilizing the CMMS.
Monitors and ensures that the assigned facility/facilities complies with the requirements of licensing, regulatory, and accreditation bodies.
Assists in conducting inspections of work to ensure quality and conformity to building code standards and adherence to policies and procedures, and to ensure adequate staff productivity.
Personally performs a full array of Facilities Engineering maintenance and/or repairs an estimated 20-40% of work time.
Requirements:
Work requires, in addition to the knowledge acquired through a general high school education: the ability to read blueprints and specifications, use and interpret various testing meters, gauges, and instruments for electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration equipment; operate various power tools, hand tools, and carpentry shop machinery and knowledge of safety procedures and practices - acquired in the first two years of technical school or with two additional years of work experience beyond the experience requirement listed below in lieu of technical school. Work requires 3 to 5 years' progressively more responsible facilities experience in order to acquire the ability to oversee the operations of the assigned region. Health system experience preferred. Position requires proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; computerized maintenance management system. Work requires interpersonal skills sufficient to effectively supervise, train, schedule, and motivate staff, and to effectively interact with internal departments. Work requires problem solving skills sufficient to effectively coordinate, schedule, and supervise the completed work of assigned staff, to resolve technical concerns posed by staff, and to test, maintain, and repair these systems personally. Must possess a current, valid Maryland Driver's License that has 2 or fewer points on it at time of hire. Must meet Sheppard Pratt requirements to operate a vehicle.Benefits:
