Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
The Operations Supervisor of Truck Services is responsible for the safe operation and overall long-term success of the Nucor Logistics Truck Services Team. The Operations Supervisor will provide, guidance, support, and mentorship, to ensure teammate growth as well as successful task coordination/coverage and clear communication to both internal as well as external audiences. The Truck Services teammates reporting to this position will include Business Analysts and Logistics Coordinators responsible for providing support services related to logistics systems, Parcel, LTL and full truck load movement of freight across the enterprise, both inbound and outbound. Occasional after-hours support for emergency requests may be necessary to ensure the timely shipment of Nucor freight to our customers.
Additional Functions include, but are not limited to,
· Maintaining and building alignment across product groups for truck related best practices
· Fostering a self-managing, self-improvement mind-set through all direct reports
· Building strong relationships across the NLG leadership team, Nucor teammates in logistics leadership roles and Nucor Business technology teams, to ensure alignment and coordination of logistics related activities
· Being accountable for team performance and communication
· Staying current with industry trends and promoting continuous learning
· Ensuring truck services support offerings are well defined, tracked and connected to the enterprise needs
· Willingness and ability to travel ~25%
Minimum Qualifications:· Minimum 3 years of prior supervisory experience
· Bachelor's degree in logistics, business or related fields
· Proven knowledge of safety best practices as it pertains to truck loading, shipment and unloading
· Proven ability to develop solutions with transportation service providers and subject matter experts.

Preferred Qualifications:· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience assessing complex operational challenges and identification of root causes with an aptitude in developing effective solutions
· Experience evaluating logistics processes, truck transportation compliance and supply chain management technologies
· Proven track record with managing a call queue, email queue or other support services teams via phone, chat and email channels
· Experience with system support, system implementations, managing user enhancements and delivering user training.
· Experience with Power BI, Tableau or other similar reporting tools
· Strong demonstration of Nucor’s safety culture
· Experience with driving innovation across multiple business units
· Experience with business process mapping and root cause analysis tools and techniques
· Ability to deliver presentations by connecting to the appropriate audience’s needs.
· Transportation Certifications (CTP, CLTD), Project Management certification (PMP/PMI) or quality assurance certification (Six Sigma).
· Strong technical aptitude with Sharepoint, Teams and other collaboration tools
· Demonstrated experience hiring, coaching and inspiring a high performing team.
