The position directs the activities of, and has responsibility for, subordinates in direct production and indirect support functions in an operations environment.What You Will Be Doing Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining departmental and individual goals and performance measures.Ensure members adhere to all work instructions and quality requirements.Actively motivates direct reports and team/project membersClearly communicates and advocates the vision, strategies, alignment grids for Woodward, Business Group, Functional Area to his/her members. Participates in the process for creating the vision, strategies and alignment grids for functional areaAligns individual and team/departmental goals to support overall organizational goals. Motivates and recognizes members on achievements.Identify and provide resources for member development and training. Identify training needs related to safety, quality, new technologies and application tools.What We Are Looking For US – High School Diploma-or equivalent. Two- or Four-year degree in related discipline desired. Six Sigma training (i.e. Champions training) required.2-5 years Previous leadership experience required (e.g. direct leadership, team lead, mentoring, projects, etc.). Previous operations experience/knowledge required.Solid understanding of processes, equipment and tools used in specific areas of responsibility. Ensure members adhere to all work instructions and quality requirements.Strong ability to analyze and make recommendations using data.Ability to effectively organize and prioritize day-to-day activities and issues within functional area.Ability to assess situations and solve complex issues on a department level.Ability to make decisions in a timely manner, sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure.Demonstrated strong leadership skills, ability to motivate teams, and demonstrated ability to resolve complex member related issues.This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce.   The ITAR defines a U.S. Person as a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident (i.e., 'Green Card holder'), or a protected person (e.g., asylee, or refugee).Woodward is an Equal Opportunity Employer EO/AA/M/F/Disabled/Protected Veterans
