Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Natural Gas Storage, the Operations Supervisor is accountable for ensuring the assets and equipment at our Alberta Hub natural gas storage facility operate safely, reliably, and compliantly, and do so in the way necessary to meet requirements of our commercial contracts. The Alberta Hub natural gas storage facility is located north of Peers, Alberta.
The Operations Supervisor will achieve this by demonstrating situational, facilitated, and empathetic leadership and through collaborating with other departments across ATCO EnPower, including Maintenance, Technical Services, Commercial Operations / Marketing, Regulatory and Project Execution.
They will perform their responsibilities in alignment with ATCO’s Core Values of Caring, Integrity, Collaboration, Agility and Health & Safety and in accordance with established health, safety and environment principles, corporate policies, practices and procedures and applicable government legislation.

Recruit, onboard, retain and offboard talent Develop, monitor and manage assigned budgets Actively manage costs to safely find savings without increasing operational risks Understand and meet the requirements of the corporate policies and procedures Collaborate with other stakeholders; Maintenance, Project Execution, Commercial Operations/Marketing on planned outages Support data collection and analytics for reporting dashboards Report up to Management and filter down to front line employee’s key information to ensure alignment and transparency Provide operational perspective to balance business objectivesWho You Are:
High School diploma or College/Technical diploma Minimum 10 years related experience in energy sector operations or maintenance of process equipment, well sites and major facilities Experience in reservoir storage facilities is considered an asset. Minimum of 2 years Supervisory or Leadership experience. High degree of understanding of well, process equipment and facility operations. Knowledgeable in applicable regulatory codes and practices, Track record of successfully executing turnarounds, HAZOPS and other high-risk operations activities. Excellent written and oral communication skills, Strong computer skills, Proven mentorship and coaching skills Team player who works well with a diverse team and focuses on common team goals and prioritizes team success over their own. Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills, Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial contracts Highly motivated and able to work independently, Comprehensive understanding of ICS principles, Ability to travel to remote sites and corporate offices – estimated at 10% Class 5 Vehicle LicenceWhat We Offer:
