The Operations Supervisor is the first line of support and supervision over the actual delivery of care and transport service for the operating division. The primary responsibility of Operations Supervisor is to direct and support field personnel to ensure cost effective, professional delivery of service and care to customers/patients. This position is off the truck and works 24-hour shifts. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Support quality field operations through daily contact, oversight, communication, and evaluation of field staff. Act as a liaison between the company and its patients, public safety agencies, training institutions, hospital representatives, and other applicable personnel. Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and facilitate individual and team development to drive positive results. Maintain appropriate staffing levels for field units, manage shift calendars, and cover open shifts with appropriate employee assignments. Supervise the effective operation, utilization, and maintenance of medical apparatus and equipment. Thoroughly investigate incidents and complaints involving assigned units or personnel and resolve in the best manner possible. Prepare reports and manage projects as assigned by the Operations Manager and/or Administrative Supervisor. Assure that all necessary payroll is properly completed and submitted in a timely manner. Assist with and engage in the recruitment and training of new employees MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS State Paramedic or EMT Certification ACLS, BLS, PALS Valid State Driver's License (MVR must pass company standards) High School Diploma or GED Must pass Physical Ability Test (PAT) EMS field experience Previous EMS supervisory experience Field Training Officer or Instructor experience EEO Statement Global Medical Response and its family of companies are an Equal Opportunity Employer, which includes supporting veterans and providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with a disability.
