Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to manage and oversee the schedules and work of assigned staff within our Printing and Lamination department. The ideal candidate will conduct performance evaluations, handle employee discipline and termination, and ensure the smooth operation of production processes.
ResponsibilitiesPlans and organizes daily activities related to production, operations, and safety.Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports.Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations.Determines labor needs to meet production goals.Assists with budget preparation for the operations unit.Assists with, or prepares and updates, the organization's operations manual and policies.Oversees special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.Trains in areas of UPONE system and all operations related to the production process and workforce for the Printing/Lamination department.Responsible for required shift updates after each shift ends.Participates in ISO Certifications program and auditing.Participates in writing work instructions and procedures regarding ISO, BRC, or any other certifications.Ensures a safe work environment by operating within and enforcing organization standards and ensures all employees operate consistently with cGMP guidelines.Maintains and enforces standards for continuous improvement.Acts as part of the team coordinating with engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.Performs other related duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExcellent managerial and supervisory skills.Extensive knowledge of operations and production management.Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work equally with all levels of employees.Ability to understand and interpret production schedules.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.5 or more years of manufacturing operations experience required.Experience in printing and packaging management preferred.Why Work Here?
