Operations Supervisor- Continuous Improvement
The CI Supervisor is responsible for the implementation of, site development of and sustained use of Total Productive Maintenance in the daily operations of the site. This position is the site champion of the Lean Manufacturing culture through the use of tools, processes and cadences to enable a continuous improvement culture in all areas of the site. This role will also lead the identification of and carry out continuous improvement projects so the site can meet financial as well as capacity objectives.
Shift & Schedule: This is a full time position working 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday-Friday.
Flexibility for additional coverage outside of these hours, including potential weekends and/or holidays, is also required as needed.
What you will do:
Schedule, lead and facilitate Kaizen Events and other CI continuous improvement projects to enhance operational performance using Lean Manufacturing tools when carrying out projects (root cause analysis, A3, SMED, Kaizen, DMAIC, etc.)Lead multifunctional continuous improvement project teams; coordinating project activities with the Production, Maintenance, Distribution Center, Quality Assurance, and office departments.Lead the implementation and continuous use of Lean Manufacturing processes at the site (5S, Kanban, Visual Factory, standard work, etc.)· Work with the Training and Development Leader to build training content and organize training sessions for training and coaching all associates in the daily use and implementation of TPM and Lean principlesDevelop and put in place tools for measuring equipment/process performance and evaluating continuous improvement project results;Collect and analyze data to identify and quantify what can be improved and costs that can be optimized; Coach other plant teams on continuous improvement techniques and processesConduct periodic audits to verify the proper functioning of established TPM and Lean Manufacturing processesCoach high performance teams in the use of TPM, daily management practices and team performance.Share and adapt best practices with other company manufacturing units Total RewardsWhere Applicable: Actual placement within the compensation range may vary depending on experience, skills, and other factors
