Operations Supervisor (Filling Night Shift)

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$35.33 - $58.89

Responsibilities:

Operations Supervisor – Parenteral is responsible for shift leadership within an area and developing the technical expertise of manufacturing employees. This individual must ensure that the manufacturing lines are adequately staffed with trained/qualified employees. Strict adherence to safety and quality rules and procedures is required.  This is direct line supervision of 5-6 operators on a 12-hour night shift (1800-0630) which is on a 2-2-3 schedule.

Key Objectives

Execution of shift activities in a manufacturing area by overseeing assignments to shift personnel.Communication with other front line leadership to coordinate floor activities to ensure safe and compliant execution.Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, working safely, and accountable for supporting all HSE goals.Ensures adequate qualified/trained staffing for operators working on the manufacturing lines.Communicate with the area management on quality, equipment, and operational issues and areas for improvement.Responsible for the coaching and performance management of operators/technicians.Manage the immediate triage of safety, quality, or schedule adherence issues experienced on the shift.Collaborate with support functions to achieve a consensus for unexpected events during manufacturing.Act as both administrator and technical leader for operations, setting a good example through demonstrated knowledge of procedures, compliance with quality systems and use of proper technique.Responsible for shop floor execution as it relates to business plan, current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) conformance and Operational Standards for Supply Chain Excellence (OSSCE)

Basic Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in manufacturing operations or structured organizations governed by procedures and regulations.Previous experience supervising 3 or more direct reports.Skills in providing/receiving feedback and creating employee development plansBasic computer skills (desktop software, HMI navigation) are required.Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests.Strong technical aptitude to quickly apply learnings and coach individuals through challenging situations.Ability to work a rotational shift schedule which includes alternating weekends, overtime as required, and during scheduled holidays to support manufacturing demands.Ability to wear safety equipment (safety glasses, safety shoes, protective gloves etc.)Ability to travel up to 5% of the year for training or network support activities.Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Additional Skills/Preferences:

Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering, or technical fieldPrevious experience in facility/area start-up environmentsPrevious experience working in a clean area and/or isolator technologyPrevious experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.Experience with root cause analysis/technical writingKnowledge of lean manufacturing principles
