Operations Supervisor - Longview Lumber

This position is part of the Longview Lumber organization. This is a full time exempt position.

Background:
This role is responsible for shift performance metrics in the areas of safety, utilization, value, productivity, and cost. This includes, but is not limited to, shift maintenance, housekeeping, adherence to all established procedures and reliable methods, and continuous improvement. This position supports, coaches, and provides feedback/direction in a timely and consistent manner to a crew of employees. Shifts may include days, swings and/or weekends when needed.

Key Functions:

Support and manage operating team Lead an ongoing safety program to ensure a safe working environment. Develop individuals for the operations team to ensure they manage the mill's operating processes with excellence. Provide leadership to ensure safety, goal setting, work standards, performance reviews, and coaching occurs on a regular basis. Effectively plan and coordinate shift activities and document shift reports, safety data and time entry Leadership in improving mill flow and reliability processes. Create long term effective trusting relationships with union employees, peers, and site leadership team Lead a culture that thrives in a changing environment Accountability to deliver results

Preferred:

Lumber manufacturing experienceBachelor’s degree in a related field

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $81,300 - $122,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
