The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor Weekend Shift (Wax)/Material Handler for Leica Biosystems is responsible for the manufacturing of high-quality medical device consumables, delivering on time to our customers and patients.
This position is part of the Manufacturing Operations department located in Richmond, IL and will be on-site. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.
You will be a part of the Wax Consumables team as well as the Material Handling team and report to the Operations Manager responsible for front-line leadership of day-to-day operations of a value stream that spans two shifts during the work week along with a weekend shift which includes safety, quality, and production efficiencies. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
+ Provide overall direction to production floor associates in the areas of production, scheduling, performance management, training, etc. striving to improve overall operational efficiencies.
+ Lead and coach team through problem-solving processes
+ Champion continuous improvement initiatives, with focus on lean transformation
+ Develop, coach, and manage operators to meet and exceed their potential
+ Maintain Material Flow throughout the Manufacturing Operations
The essential requirements of the job include:
+ Experience in Inventory Control (Cycle Counts, Kanban, Material Movements)
+ Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
+ Experience with continuous improvement processes and lean manufacturing preferred
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
+ Problem solving tools and methods (e.g. 5 Why, Fishbone)
+ Developing and coaching direct reports
The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
