Through its wholly owned subsidiaries, American States Utility Services, Inc. contracts with the federal government to provide water and wastewater services that include operating, maintaining, renewing, replacing, and constructing new systems on military installations throughout the United States. POSITION SUMMARY:The incumbent in this position provides support and administration to a variety of business support programs, technical and administration functions, to include financial analyses, inventory management, equipment and vehicle management, purchase card management and wireless device coordination. In addition, the incumbent will be assigned to assist with special projects, as required, i.e. implementation of new systems or software, marketing and outreach campaigns, and employee training.
ACCOUNTABILITY:This Analyst works directly with Management in an environment of routinely sensitive and confidential issues; therefore, the person in this position must have the ability to achieve policy objectives, including accountability for confidentiality of information. As a responsible professional, the Analyst must be able to work independently and exercise initiative and judgment in the performance of the core job responsibilities of this position. The Analyst is skilled in the ability to answer questions and find immediate solutions, as needed, to facilitate a dynamic and high performance organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assists with the efficient execution of ASUS support functions, interfaces with the General Office on matters including the same.• Interfaces with corporate Accounting and Human Capital Management department personnel to coordinate and ensure compliance with Accounting, procurement, contracting, inventory, personnel policies, procedures, requirements and guidelines.• Ensures all related processes are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements. Coordinates the administrative functions of building security, wireless devices, and purchase card management.• Participates in special projects as assigned, including but not limited to, implementation of new systems and software, branding outreach and campaigns.• Coordinates and monitors functional field progress to complete action item deliverables as set forward by Management, and coordinate with ASUS Officers as necessary.• Stays abreast of all priority items to ensure completion in accurate and timely manner.• Coordinates and administers compliance requirements of property and equipment leases, which includes fleet management program, vehicle acquisition, maintenance, disposal and reporting.• Understands company policies and makes suggestions on improvements.• Provides technical support in the areas of database development, maintenance, and reporting for leadership and management personnel. Provides training to personnel as assigned.• Communicates with external vendors and personnel across organization to ensure maximum proficiency of systems administered.• Prepares studies and reports as directed.• Ability to effectively organize multiple projects, establishes priorities to achieve the goals of the team and customers, and meet short deadlines.• Assists with special projects as assigned.• Other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Associates Degree strongly preferred.• Three to five years of progressively responsible business management or accounting experience.• Experience with JD Edwards preferred.• Advanced in the use of computerized office equipment and programs (i.e. MS Office, MS Windows, Adobe products, MS Access, SharePoint and Visio).• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language.• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License issued by the state where employed.
SKILLS:• Strong leadership skills, including ability to work effectively with all levels throughout the organization and across functional lines.• Excellent organizational skills are a must.• Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information.• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.• Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on initiative, knowledge sharing and teambuilding.• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.• Demonstrated experience in identifying process improvement opportunities and engagement in implementing improvements.• Demonstrated experience in analyzing customer needs through soliciting, evaluating and acting upon customer feedback.• Ability to research, interpret and compile analytical data.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS MAY INCLUDE:
May include but not limited to standing, climbing, walking, lifting up to 20 lbs., bending, pulling and/or pushing, grasping, reaching, stooping and crouching, sitting, typing, walking, reading, writing, color determination, speaking and listening for extendedperiods of time.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Multiple factors are used to determine the actual starting rate of pay for all of our positions, including specific skills, years of experience, education, certification(s), and other job related factors.
