We are seeking a dedicated professional to enable sales growth and profitability for our Sun Retail Network, which includes our Sunglass Hut, Myer, Ray-Ban and Oakley stores. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering key operational initiatives aimed at expanding both new and existing channels. Your focus will be on continuously developing essential operational components, aligning closely with global objectives, and fostering strong internal business relationships.
With support from our Operations Systems Administrator, this is a unique opportunity to make an impact in a dynamic and growing retail environment! This role offers the chance to travel, including visits to our stores both locally and in New Zealand, so applicants applying should be open to the occasional travel. This position also involves communication with our global offices, some calls may be scheduled outside regular business hours. However, we value flexibility and encourage team members to work in ways that support a healthy work-life balance and promote their well-being.
Requirements for Success
Collaborate closely with local & global E-commerce and international Operations teams to provide support for IT and operational activities managed by the Australia Shared Services team Establish and maintain consistent reporting systems on all key projects and initiatives alongside our Commercial Finance team Bring your ideas to life and implement process improvements that leads to a positive impact on our store performance Analyse store performance across key initiatives to pinpoint opportunities for support and drive excellence at the store level Work with our Legal team to ensure we’re compliant with the Trade Practices Act and other applicable legislation Coordinate communication and processes for essential store operations, including stocktaking, store audit reporting, and high season support activities Oversee tasks related to the implementation and upkeep of store operational platforms, including SmartShopper, Smartly & Omnichannel delivery options Assist and support in the operational execution of pop-up events and B2B opportunities
Skills & Experience
Tertiary Degree preferred but not essential Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail management with store operations experience desirable Proficiency in retail systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Strong time-management abilities and prioritization skills Skilled communicator with the ability to manage expectations effectively Strong influencing skills to guide stakeholders Competent in drafting store correspondence, directives, and procedural documents Risk-aware, balancing commercial outcomes with compliance, and committed to continuous self-development
