Operations System Controls Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Systems Technician II to join our team. As an Operations Systems Technician II, you will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the control systems in our data centers. Working closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and customers, you will contribute to the efficient operation of our Building Automation Systems (BAS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS). Your expertise in controls platforms, programming languages, and troubleshooting will be essential in ensuring system reliability and addressing technical issues. **Responsibilities:** Control Systems Troubleshooting and Support: + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Control Systems in our data centers + Utilize your knowledge of controls platforms to diagnose and address technical problems + Analyze system logs, alarms, and data to identify and resolve control system anomalies + Assist in implementing corrective actions to maintain system reliability + Support the development and modification of controls logic programming + Assist inthe configuration, validation, installation, and commissioning of BAS and EPMS systems + Assist in the maintenance of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and ensure their proper functionality System Maintenance and Optimization: + Perform routine system maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of control systems + Assist in system optimization efforts, including tuning and configuration adjustments + Monitor system performance and implement necessary improvements + Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to control systems Documentation and Reporting: + Maintain accurate documentation of control systems, including network architecture, IO lists, and alarm databases + Assist in the creation and updating of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and method of procedure (MOP) documents + Generate reports and dashboards to monitor and analyze system performance Technical Assistance and Training: + Provide technical assistance and support to internal customers during the operation and maintenance of control systems + Collaborate with senior technicians and operations teams to address system issues and optimize performance + Participate in training programs to enhance your knowledge and skills in control systems **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 2 years of experience in controls-related roles + Familiarity with controls platforms such as Niagara N4 by Tridium, Distech EC-Gfx, Schneider Struxureware/EcoStruxure, Schneider Powerlogic/Citect SCADA (EPMS), Eaton Foreseer (EPMS), Ignition by Inductive Automation, Nlyte NEO, Automated Logic, Delta preferred + Basic programming skills in Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, or other relevant programming languages + Understanding of TCP/IP, BACnet, and/or MODBUS communication protocols + Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities + Good communication and teamwork skills + Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks + Experience in data centers or critical facilities is a plus + Must be able to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings + Must be proficient in using Microsoft operating systems, both desktop and server + Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office and Outlook **Education / Certifications:** + High School diploma or equivalent required **Work Environment:** + Fast paced environment + Work Schedule: Typical hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, plus overtime + Travel: 5% CyrusOne is an equal opportunity employer.
