POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the monitoring of gas inlet and residue nominations by using knowledge of the system to keep customers on nominations while also keeping field system pressures optimal by directing plants on how to allocate flows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage inlet curtailment communication process during upset events or when plants are at reduced capacities.Improve customer satisfaction and confidence by always having a knowledgeable and up to speed point of contact on a 24/7 basis.Primary point of contact for customers, Business Development, Marketing, Measurement, Pipeline, and Reliability while also bridging the gap between these channels and disseminating the information to the plant supervisors.Daily safe operations of the field gas compression, inlet gas pipelines monitoring equipment and processing facilities, from the remote-control roomStreamline communication process – understanding of appropriate message, more consistent messaging, building trust, etc. Improve system operations and communication after hours and weekends (single point of contact requested by Business Development/Scheduling)EEnhanced continuous monitoring of producer incoming gas quality (implementing alarming, proactive action, proceduralize) on a 24/7 basisAssist operators in optimizing plant efficiency and recoveriesAssist in managing producer imbalances and residue pipeline OBA’s (Operational Balance Agreements) on a 24/7 basisAssist plants with troubleshooting, recover from process upsets and/or shutdowns either over the phone, or monitoring/running the plant remotely.Train and educate operators on responses to abnormal conditions.Create and send daily and monthly reports, curtailment notices, PLA events,Collect and true-up reliability data for daily/monthly/quarterly reports.Support engineering team and project teams with process parameters and current conditions.Able to support commissioning efforts involving loop checks, valve tuning, etc. for new plants and during planned outages.Covers shifts at the plants whenever requested. Able to assume plant-specific Board Operator duties remotely during times of need (employee illness/call-offs, abnormal operating conditions, emergency support).Advanced Operations System Controller Responsibilities (includes above responsibilities)
Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of business processes and projectsTrain, support and oversee operations system controllersPlanning, organizing, and managing operational outages and curtailmentsAnalyzing data to identify problems or trends that may require corrective actionResponsible for the safe and efficient operation of the pipeline and associated compressor stations, monitoring equipment, PHMSA compliance, daily gas nomination coordination with gas supply, interface with interconnect pipeline operators, and interface with P/L.Assure the safe and reliable operation of the facilities through the implementation of regulatory compliance policies, procedures, physical risk management plans, and best practicesProvide technical leadership and coordination of all operational activities at the listed facilities.Conduct feasibility reviews to determine whether new products or services are commercially viableMaintain and control records of operational activities such as production, outages, PLA events, curtailment notices, and incident reportingEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED requiredMust hold a valid Driver License with excellent driving recordMust be able to pass drug test and background checkMust be able to work 12-hour shifts including nights, weekends, and holidaysPrior Board Operator experience required, prefer a minimum of 5 yearsSKILLS:
