Operations Technician
Job Title: Operations TechnicianJob Description The Operations Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to inventory management, quality control, and specimen handling. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively coordinate inventory checks, manage delivery interactions, handle investigational agents, and ensure accurate inventory reporting. Responsibilities + Coordinate periodic manual inventory checks + Schedule and interact with delivery subcontractors + Receive and check investigational agents from their respective manufacturer(s); move drugs in and out of quarantine, both physically and in the database + Perform sample aggregations and splits, lot transfers, and inventory adjustments + Resolve preferred lots for shipping + Provide daily inventory reports to the DMID staff + Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs Essential Skills + Effective verbal and written communication skills + Experienced ability to prepare reports using Microsoft Excel + Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and possibly Microsoft Access + Basic knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory practices, and quality assurance/control + Good professional judgment when working with clients + Strong logic and problem-solving skills + High integrity and reliability in database and inventory management Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to role model behavior consistent with company values + Dedicated and able to function independently without continual oversight + Planning skills + Experience with SOPs and FDA regulations + Familiarity with cold room and specimen handling + Scanning skills Work Environment The work environment is a sterile warehouse type environment and office, including a repository with freezers.
