Job Description
The Operations Technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to inventory management, quality control, and specimen handling. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively coordinate inventory checks, manage delivery interactions, handle investigational agents, and ensure accurate inventory reporting.
ResponsibilitiesCoordinate periodic manual inventory checksSchedule and interact with delivery subcontractorsReceive and check investigational agents from their respective manufacturer(s); move drugs in and out of quarantine, both physically and in the databasePerform sample aggregations and splits, lot transfers, and inventory adjustmentsResolve preferred lots for shippingProvide daily inventory reports to the DMID staffOther duties may be assigned to meet business needsEssential SkillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsExperienced ability to prepare reports using Microsoft ExcelProficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, and possibly Microsoft AccessBasic knowledge of Universal Precautions, general laboratory practices, and quality assurance/controlGood professional judgment when working with clientsStrong logic and problem-solving skillsHigh integrity and reliability in database and inventory managementAdditional Skills & QualificationsAbility to role model behavior consistent with company valuesDedicated and able to function independently without continual oversightPlanning skillsExperience with SOPs and FDA regulationsFamiliarity with cold room and specimen handlingScanning skillsWork Environment
The work environment is a sterile warehouse type environment and office, including a repository with freezers. This is a diverse and growing opportunity that offers the potential to assist other groups and departments.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00
